BEIJING, July 2 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) has sent COVID-19 prevention and control materials including protective suits and medical masks to the militaries of five Latin American countries. The PLA offered the supplies at the request of the militaries of Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela, and with the approval of the Central Military Commission.

The two domestically transmitted cases were reported in Beijing, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

Of the three imported cases, one was reported in Liaoning Province, one in Shanghai and another in Yunnan Province, the commission said.
