Share or withhold a vaccine to the world?

Chinese President Xi Jinping's promise to share a coronavirus vaccine universally once it's developed on Monday received extensive attention from foreign media.

The commitment was made in a speech delivered at the opening ceremony of the 73rd session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) via video link.

By contrast, US health secretary Alex Azar failed to make a guarantee on a universally available vaccine, drawing strong condemnation around the world.
