Silk Road Friendship Ceremony brings cultures together in Bishkek

The Fifth Silk Road Friendship Ceremony was held on August 4 in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

The event was jointly hosted by the China International Culture Exchange Center, Global People magazine, and the Publicity Department of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee. It marked the first time that the ceremony had been held outside China.

More than 200 people attended the event, including Salkyn Sarnogoeva, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic; 10 groups of this year's Silk Road Friendship Ambassadors from various countries; and friends from China and abroad who support Belt and Road cooperation. Guests said that the true stories spanning mountains and seas showcased the development opportunities and achievements generated by Belt and Road cooperation. They also injected fresh momentum into strengthening people-to-people ties and advancing the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

During the event, artists from China and Kyrgyzstan presented captivating performances, including Xiangyunsha on the Silk Road, a fashion show blending tradition with the future. People's Cultural Creative also showcased a selection of its distinctive cultural and creative products.
