Indoor ski park draws visitors in E China's Anhui

"Chushu," which means the end of heat in Chinese, fell on a weekend this year, drawing huge crowds to Zhashan Ski Sports Park in Wanshan town, Lujiang county, Hefei, east China's Anhui Province. The park received more than 1,000 tourist visits that day, marking a peak in summer tourism.

As Anhui's first large-scale indoor ski resort under an air-supported dome, the facility can accommodate more than 500 skiers at a time. It fills a gap in year-round winter tourism offerings in the southern Yangtze River Delta, giving visitors a new option for enjoying snow and ice sports.

Ski resorts require a reliable power supply, while the growing popularity of nearby B&Bs has further increased electricity demand. To ensure safe and reliable power supply, the local power supply department has established a dedicated service. Staff members regularly inspect key equipment, including refrigeration and snowmaking systems, as well as power distribution lines, and provide a 24-hour emergency response service to promptly address potential electrical hazards.
