Xi: When I left Liangjiahe, I left my heart here

President Xi Jinping visited Liangjiahe village in Shaanxi Province in February 2015 ahead of China's Spring Festival.

It was a homecoming for Xi, who was sent to work and live in Liangjiahe as an "educated youth" for seven years starting in January 1969.

The residents were waiting at the entrance to the village when Xi arrived. They were excited and called him by his first name, "Jinping." Xi said, " When I left Liangjiahe, I left my heart here."
