"If we cooperate together, all the world can hear us," said Samy Elkamhawy, vice editor-in-chief of Egypt's Al-Ahram Newspaper, in an exclusive interview with People's Daily Online on the sidelines of the 2025 Media Cooperation Forum of SCO Countries.

Elkamhawy called for stronger international media cooperation to combat misinformation and promote balanced global narratives. He emphasized the important role of leading outlets like People's Daily and Al-Ahram Newspaper in fostering cross-cultural understanding through multilingual communication.

The 2025 Media Cooperation Forum of SCO Countries, with the theme of "Building a Better Home Together for a Prosperous Future," was held in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on May 23, 2025.
