Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, is a city not just known for the warmth of its people, but also for its rising passion for sports.

From Aug. 7 to 17, 2025, it will host the 12th World Games, showcasing a diverse array of non-Olympic sports and bringing fresh, youth-focused events to audiences worldwide.

In Guixi Ecological Park, frisbee lovers gather on vast open lawns surrounded by greenery and water, providing an ideal setting for the event.

At Tianfu Park, China's first international-standard natural turf field for fistball is ready for competition.

But what's even cooler is how the whole city's getting into it.

Across parks and streets, you can feel the city's growing passion for sports. Whether it's shooting hoops, jogging through Xicun Courtyard, or cycling in the city's greenways, people here stay active in such a relaxed way.

Chengdu moves, but never forgets to breathe. It's more than ready to welcome the World Games with open arms.
