CPEC an engine of socio-economic progress and a symbol of friendship: Chinese ambassador
August 13 – Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong addresses a seminar on “CPEC in My Eyes” at a local hotel.

China’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, reiterated the strong commitment of his country to enhancing agricultural and industrial cooperation with Pakistan through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), calling the project a symbol of friendship as well as a source of economic progress.

Ambassador Jiang emphasized the extensive influence of the flagship Belt and Road Initiative on Pakistan when speaking at a seminar on “CPEC in my eyes” attended by prominent government officials, corporate executives, academics and stakeholders from both countries. He gave CPEC credit for creating jobs, improving infrastructure, and setting the stage for long-term industrial growth.

As part of the second phase of the corridor, the envoy stressed the importance of industrial cooperation, modern agricultural practices, and sustainable development.In addition, he noted that joint ventures in high-tech production have already produced promising results in Pakistan’s agricultural sector.

As Balochistan’s representative, Syedaal Khan described Gwadar as CPEC’s “heart and gateway” and a development hub poised to spur economy-wide growth in the province. To reduce regional disparities, he suggested special economic zones, skills development initiatives, and industrial ventures.
