On the Plan | Duolingo CEO vows to expand investment, services in China

Luis von Ahn, co-founder and CEO of Duolingo, expressed confidence in the Chinese market in an exclusive interview with People's Daily Online at the China Development Forum 2026, held in Beijing on March 22-23.

Von Ahn noted that China is Duolingo's second-largest market globally and remains strategically important. As China's business environment continues to improve, the company plans to further expand its investment and enhance its language learning services in the country.

Speaking on technology, von Ahn emphasized the positive impact of artificial intelligence on language education. "Artificial intelligence allows us to teach significantly better. For us, it's very positive," he said.
