The China-ASEAN Initiative on Strengthening E-Commerce Cooperation Implementation Plan was unveiled at the 2026 China-ASEAN Silk Road E-commerce Promotion Event in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on Sept. 17.
The event, themed "Digital Links for ASEAN, New Shared Opportunities," brought together commerce officials from 10 provincial-level regions — Jilin, Heilongjiang, Anhui, Henan, Guangxi, Hainan, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Shaanxi — along with representatives from China Post.
It is aimed at promoting "sourcing from ASEAN, selling across China; sourcing from China, selling to ASEAN," and at moving bilateral e-commerce cooperation from consensus to concrete implementation.
Hosted by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the event also seeks to build a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future and to advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
