Southwest China's Yunnan Province has now entered the rainy season, and with it, forests across the region are quietly coming to life. Wild mushrooms have begun to sprout, marking the start of Yunnan's much-anticipated mushroom season.

At the Mushuihua Wild Mushroom Trading Center in Kunming, the provincial capital, various wild mushrooms are available, attracting the attention of citizens and tourists.

According to an executive at the trading center, currently, there are more than 260 wild mushroom species available at the market, with their prices ranging from 100 to 4,000 yuan (about $13.9 to $556.6) per kilogram. Prices will drop in July as production increases, the person said.
