Imported goods are being delivered as soon as the next day, and even the same day in some cases. How is that possible? The scene at the Zhengzhou Xinzheng Comprehensive Bonded Zone in central China's Henan Province may provide an answer. A steady flow of trucks moves in and out, loaded with goods. Inside the storage facilities, workers busily sort, store, inspect, and meticulously pack products. Here, cross-border e-commerce parcels are consolidated and dispatched, powering global trade.
This bustling scene is a vivid demonstration of Henan's rapid progress toward the goal of "buying globally, selling globally," as it actively integrates into China's new development pattern.
As of April 30, 2025, the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone had processed 80.12 million cross-border e-commerce import and export orders, an 86.7 percent year-on-year increase. The total value of goods had reached 9.38 billion yuan, up 43.9 percent. Export order volume stood at 64.84 million, marking a 155.8 percent surge, with transaction value rising to 6.51 billion yuan — an 89.4 percent increase — highlighting strong growth momentum.
